Brian J. Porter

Biography

Brian graduated with honors from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2012. While in law school, Brian was elected president of the Global Justice Think Tank and co-founded the International Law Society.

Since graduating from law school, Brian has focused his practice primarily on bankruptcy, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13. He has represented hundreds of individuals in bankruptcy matters, served as a staff attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee for the District of Utah. Since joining the firm in 2019, Brian has primarily focused on providing quality representation to bankruptcy debtors, creditors and trustees in complex matters throughout Utah and Wyoming.

In 2026, Brian was appointed to the Panel of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees for the District of Utah. In addition to bankruptcy, his practice includes collections, real property, and estate planning matters.
